My approach to family photography
is centered around natural, candid moments that showcase genuine emotion and connection. I focus on creating a relaxed, comfortable environment where families can interact naturally rather than feeling stiff or overly posed.
My style is timeless, warm, and emotionally driven—designed to capture not just what your family looks like in this season, but what it feels like to be together.
During Your Session: A Note for Parents
One of the most important things you can do during your session is allow your kids to be themselves. Trying to constantly pose, correct, or fix your children can make it harder for them to relax and enjoy the experience.
I’ll guide the session and take care of all posing and direction. If you have specific photo ideas or a vision you’d love to include, feel free to share those with me beforehand so I can incorporate them naturally.
The goal is to keep things light, playful, and stress-free—this is where the most meaningful images come from.
How to Prepare
Before the Session
- Rest up: Well-rested kids make a big difference.
- Plan outfits ahead: Choose simple, coordinated outfits and avoid logos or busy patterns.
- Bring comfort items: A favorite toy or blanket is always welcome.
During the Session
- Stay relaxed and playful: I’ll guide you every step of the way.
- Be flexible: Breaks, snacks, and pauses are completely okay.
Photography Style & Aesthetic
Natural & Candid
I focus on real moments—laughter, connection, movement, and interaction—rather than stiff or overly posed images.
Warm, Soft, and Timeless
My editing style uses muted neutrals, earth tones, and soft pastels to create images that feel warm, airy, and classic.
Clean & True-to-Life Editing
I lightly enhance exposure, color, and clarity while keeping skin tones natural. I do not alter a person’s appearance or remove objects unless discussed in advance.
Posing & Direction
While my focus is on natural interaction, I’ll gently guide you into positions that feel balanced and flattering. I often use movement-based prompts like walking together, sitting close, laughing, or playing with your kids.
Nothing is forced or stiff. These prompts help create genuine expressions and natural connection while still ensuring the images feel visually cohesive.

Styling Tips
Colors
I recommend neutral tones, earth tones, and soft pastels such as warm beige, muted greens, dusty rose, soft gray, and light denim. These colors photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection rather than clothing.
Try to avoid bright, bold colors, large logos, or busy patterns that can be distracting.
Textures
Layers and texture—such as cardigans, denim jackets, knit sweaters, or linen fabrics—add depth and interest without overwhelming the image.
Coordinate, Don’t Match
Choose outfits that complement one another rather than matching exactly. Coordinating colors and textures creates a cohesive look while allowing each person’s personality to shine. of course this is
Location & Lighting
Outdoor Sessions
Parks, gardens, open fields, and urban/nature blends provide variety and beautiful natural backdrops. These locations allow space for movement and playful interaction.
Indoor Sessions
Lifestyle sessions at home are perfect for a cozy, personal feel. Bright rooms with large windows, neutral spaces, and minimal clutter photograph best.
Light Preference
Golden hour offers the softest, most flattering light. If we’re shooting earlier in the day, I’ll look for open shade or diffused light to avoid harsh shadows and squinting.
Delivery
You’ll receive your final, high-resolution images in a private online gallery which you will have access to for one month, where you can download, and share.
Final Thoughts
My goal is simple: to document your family honestly and beautifully. By keeping things relaxed, natural, and connection-focused, we’ll create images you’ll treasure for years to come.
